I'm going to take a little break from my Game Maker spree and try my hand at F.E.A.R. Editor, Radiant Editor, Unreal Editor, and Valve Hammer, to make levels (a.k.a. "maps") for Epic Games' Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3, ID Software's Doom 3 and Quake 4, Monolith's F.E.A.R., and Valve's Half-Life 2 and Counter-strike: Source. I'm going to be very rusty, of course, so don't expect anything professional out of me! I used to create my own maps for Half-Life, Quake 2, and Unreal 2 a long time ago, so if I'm going to be in the game design business, then I'm going to have to bring myself back up to speed, get a head start, and go full throttle until I find my niche. I'll possibly supply a few screen shots and maybe even the appropriate files necessary to play my levels, but again, they aren't going to be anything spectacular. I'm still going to be doing art, so don't worry about that!

Also, it's been a little while since I've brought up school and how my hunt for a college has been. I'm most likely going to end up in the Art Institute of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona or the ITT Technical Institute in Tempe, Arizona to continue my pursuit for a bachelor's degree in game design. I'm still in the middle of communicating back and forth between the 2 colleges, so I'll let you know what's up with all of that in the near future as I make progress.

You've no idea how much I love Prey. ^^ It's probably one of the best FPS games I've ever played. It brought a lot of new elements to a redundant genre, I say. :3 The creators' headquarters is about a 5 hour drive from where I live. Maybe I can work for them when I get my bachelor's in game design. ;P

Anyway, I'm doing great. ^^ How about yourself? Haven't talked to you in a while. Thank you very much for having a featured spot for me in your journal, by the way! :hug:

Thanks, I may go over to do an MA at an American university after I get my degree, so I can immigrate on a student visa. Visas are kinda complicated to get when moving to the US and it's really hard to get full citizenship so meh, one step at a time really. :) Oh and I've added you to AIM if that's ok!

I'm doing alright thanks, currently doing an animation degree in University then plan to move to the states. I have to do my homework first though, and find a job over there but that's my intention anyhow. :)
